STEEL5000 (USA) and Martín Laut (AR), members of the Madridleño band Isabel La Alcoholica, moved from Spain to Argentina in March 2008. The change of location was due to The Gelman Travel Fellowship which STEEL5000 received upon graduation from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. The Gelman Travel Fellowship is for young, emerging artists to undertake extensive international travel and produce art for one year. During her year in Buenos Aires STEEL5000 realized various projects, one of which was Loud Neighbor.

Loud Neighbor was created soon after moving into their new home. It was conceived as self portrait in a neighborhood that was not ready for the noisy couple. After experimenting with the possibilities of electronic punk rock with I.L.A. they wanted this new project to be oriented to the dance floor. Flirting with the trend, but never forgetting their roots, the result is an eclectic style, something between electro, techno and house, with a strong new wave flavor that sounds fresh and old school at the same time. Their analog sound achieved by hardware matched with their powerful vocal's full of irony make LN's show an experience that is worth it not only for electronic music lovers, but for a wide range of audiences.
